High Falls Gorge

High Falls Gorge

High Falls Gorge is a wonder of mother nature.  Considered a gem of the Adirondack Region, this location has been carved out by the Ausable River.

Self guided or with a tour guide, you can walk the paths and bridges around this location.  There is so much to see.  From the beautiful waterfalls and pools to one of New York's largest pot holes.

When you visit the Gorge, you’ll get a complimentary map which provides information about High Falls Gorge, climax forest, and history of the river.

Visiting the Gorge could be one stop on a vacation or just a fun activity for a weekend getaway.  The walking tour around the gorge is just a half mile round trip walk.

In addition to the nature walk, you can also pan for gemstones, and fossils in the mining sluice.

Find out more about this location by visiting the High Falls Gorge web site.
