Established in 1946, the nature center is a combination of wildlife sanctuary, visitor attraction and educational facility. Whether you're interested in birding, plant identification, plant life, hiking, or nature photography you can find something of interest at Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center.

The Center features exhibits highlighting the habitats and wildlife of southeastern Connecticut, as well as eight miles of trails that wind through a beautiful 300-acre wooded preserve.

You will see lots of wildlife at the Center.  There are many varieties of birds including owls, a Peregrine Falcon and Red Tailed Hawks.  Bird watchers can marvel at the beauty of the bluebirds on the property.  Stop by the Nature Center and see live frogs, turtles and snakes.

The Nature Center offers a full listing of weekly and monthly environmental education programs for participants of all ages in addition to a summer camp.  Visit the The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center’s web site to get the full listing and details on how to participate.
